15 Best New Year’s Songs – Magical fairy help

Introduction

This project was born from a desire to push the boundaries of static data. By combining Tableau’s robust data engine with custom Python and JS-based motion graphics, I created an immersive, animated reporting experience and my little fairy helped me.

Fairy who guides author through animation.

Here is how I built it.

Concept & Design Strategy

The foundation of any great report is a clear vision. For this project, I chose to move beyond simple numbers and standard metrics, stepping away from the traditional data analyst’s perspective. Instead, I drew inspiration from the wonder of childhood imagination.

I wanted to evoke that specific New Year festive magic—that breathless feeling of a child staring out the window at the first snowfall of the year.

Directing the Scene

I acted more as a stage director than a technician. I asked myself:

  • Where are we? Visual Composition
  • How does it feel? Atmosphere & Mood
  • character’s ? Fairy
  • what will happen ? Animation Script

After conceptualizing the scene, I began creating the visuals and animations using Gemini, Python, and JS-based motion graphics. I uploaded the animations to the cloud and integrated them via Custom URLs. By appending parameters such as &autoplay=true&loop=true&muted=true&controls=false to the hosted links, I ensured the content loops seamlessly without sound or playback overlays. Some of the motion graphics I have linked via GitHub.

The Parchment Scroll Magical text generation script:

Name: Source Code: PIL Implementation *

Note: After creating the GIF, use software or a GIF editor to set the loop count to 1 (play once) or infinity (play continuously) depending on what you want.

i am using delayed Giff after 2nd animation, you can see code here: https://github.com/Elene-mamniashvili/delayed-gif.git
